The Super Bee was a pure muscle car edition of the Coronet. Dodge traded comfort and interior style for performance to get a fast and powerful car. The Super Bee only came with big block engines with the 383 as standard option. The bigger 440 and 426 Hemis was optional.

This one came with the optional Ramcharger fresh air ducts in the hood. Back from an extensive restoration in 2005 it is now seen on meetings during the summer.

For those that didn't want the Hemi you could get almost as much power with the 440 Sixpack. The tripple 2-barrel setup made it somewhat economical to drive but still with a lot of power when needed.

This one came to Sweden in 1975 and it has a funny coincident in its past. When it was on the assembly line it had another 440 sixpack before it. 18 months after this one arrived the other car came to Sweden too and ended up in the same small town in the northern part of the country. So in 1976 both cars were together again with their sequential VIN's

1970 was the last year when Dodge offered a Coronet in R/T Coupe or Convertible versions. Sales had droped in the previous years and the Coronet R/T's only sold a few thousands. For the R/T you could only get it with 440 Magnum or Sixpack and if you went the whole way you could get the 426 Hemi.

This Coronet has have the same owner for the last twenty years. Just out of a twelve year long restoration it is now in show winning condition.

In 1970 Dodge entered the ponycarmarket with the Challenger. It was purposely built to accomodate the widest engines in the Moparcamp, including the 426 HEMI. The Special Edition was a luxury option and very few of them came with the HEMI, only 37 was delivered with automatic transmision like this one.

This car has had the same owner since 1974 when he bought it. Engine still has its original bore size and everything is original. It is being driven every summer but only on nice sunny days.
